1/23/2017 0 Comments Learn to Love Your Junk DrawerWell February is upon us and the holidays are over, so now is the time to get organized or reorganize your life in some way. Sometimes it's hard to know where to start. This month's tip is to Learn to Live Your Junk Drawer. We all have one (you know that you do too). That drawer or drawers that you shove everything that you don't know what to do with. Then you can't find any of it. Anybody in your house ever say "Where are the good scissors?"
I recommend designating one drawer in the kitchen for this purpose. Step 1 - Start by emptying everything out of the drawer. Clean the inside of the drawer while it is empty. Step 2 - Sort the contents of the drawer into categories. Step 3 - You can find all kinds of inexpensive organizers in different sizes and shapes. Once you have sorted your items you can easily tell what you will need. If you have more pens and pencils than can fit in the container throw them out. Step 4 - Once you have cleaned and sorted, fill the containers and arrange the drawer. Organizing does not have to be finished in one day. Start with a small project like a junk drawer to begin. If you are feeling overwhelmed, call a pro like the Merry Organizer to give you a hand.
